Megane OEM Speakers

This are the speakers that that a 2005 Megane 225 carries (the one with the 6CD changer + 1 Double DIN setup)

Do you think that is a Neodinium magnet? They are amazingly light (or is it because the basket seems to be made of plastic?)

i see the + and - on the speakers :wink:

i personaly thing they are good speakers, i just put it down to the stereo not being up to par with them,

as for being light maybe cos they are plastic housings yeah and cos if they were metal dose the water not run inside the door so they may rust and stop working, and they also may use the same idea as the Kenwood Mags, they weight sod as well.

Morning ya' all!

This is torture!

It seems im planning all the wrong ICE mods just cause I opened my big mouth and said "ok luv... no changing the HU"... Fcuk!

Anyway...

My plan is.... Let the the woman listen to the OEM HU + Aftermarket Sprkss + Sub. If it still sounds crap... Time to reneg agreement... She's into music too, so hopefully she'll see that we HAVE to change the HU and get those (or get "them" as they say around here!) steering wheel stalk controls...

this is what I've done with my stereo since I've had the car

Standard setup = crap
Add sub to standard setup = not too bad
Replace head unit =

All I have in mine is a sony HU and a little kenwood 300w amp running a single kenny 12" boxed sub and its just enough I think. Will replace the front speakers at some point as the standard ones wont take much bass but they are a bit better than the ones I replaced in my old 172

More or less what I expected... Its just that Ive added another step between 2 and 3... which is the new speakers...

The replacement of the HU will come after I convince the crowds that we need to convince to change it in order to really improve things... But who knows... maybe OEM HU + Aftermarket Speakers + Amplified Sub will produce something acceptable....

I have a two sets of Infinity speakers that i had in my 182 not sure if they will fit in the Megane but if they do i will have a bash at fitting them when it gets warmer ... Pics

lovely speakers, i had them in my clio to, realy took some punishment and delivered every time.

good question, you would think looking at mine i would have tried fitting them but i have not,
with wat i got in the boot it would not be worth me doing,

They will fit if: They're 13.5 cm in diametre and no more than 50mm deep and also if you chop 2 of the 4 mounting points. The Megane only allows for 2 diagonally opposed screws...
