A few people have said that they have had 'mode test' happen when starting their 225. Thought i'd give it a go. You get the 'mode test' when you hold the button on the right hand stalk down while turning the car on.

Did all of that. Got the mode test warning. All the dials start moving and the lights all light up. It looks very pretty but after having to drive back from the petrol station with it like that i'm getting a bit tired of it. So does anyone know how to turn the 'mode test' off?

Tried that, tried turning it back on. Tried holding the same button while turning it off and back on. Tried getting out the car and locking it, when i got back in 'mode test' is still going on. As far as i know it's just sitting in the car park going through a 'mode test'. :?

I'm just hoping that the 'mode test' ends after a certain period of time and that it doesn't flatten my battery before it does stop.

I thought that it only did the test if you didn't press the brake or clutch when pressing the start button and stalk button, the car would not start, then it was just a case of pressing the stalk button again the end the test.

This is only my understanding........

try putting the card in teh slot and starting.

Don't have a clue. All i know is that it started doing the test and now it wont stop.

push the trip reset button that turns it off well does on mine anyway

What is this mode test and what dose it do

It basically tests all your lights and dials on the dash display. Once activated it puts all the lights on and moves the dials up and down.

Very pretty when your doing nothing but soon becomes very annoying while your driving. Just going out to my car now, will find out if it's stopped.

When i did it i locked it up went back into house and about 15 min later it had finished ...

Looks like it just stops after a while. Went back to car no mode test and battery was fine.
