Took an RTE out yesterday to show him the problem. Sure enough the car played up royaley for him.

It was stuttering about the 6000 rpm mark in 4th gear. We did a small test to check how it should be running. We went to the local airfield to do some testing. Got to 115 in 5th and then drop it into 4th and sure enough it was reving to 6700. Only problem was that i had my foot fully down and it was cutting off the power there and then giving me a maximum rpm of 6100 in 4th and it was stuttering. Id have maybe 1 second of accelleration and then it would cut out. It wasnt the rev limiter either.

So back to the dealership and we chat for a while. We had a look at the coils aswell as the plugs.

In short the first thing ive got to change out which is the only part i would be expected to pay for as part of the fault diagnosis are a set of plugs.

So yeah getting the plugs tomorrow and putting them in. Lets see how that goes. Other wise they said they would need my car for a few days to do further testing on it.

I know where your coming from andy. Unfortunatly doing that demonstration was the only way i could show them the problem as CLIP was showing shit! hence london west couldnt sort the problem.

he said to drive it normally and keep the revs down. Also to get the plugs changed asap so we can start the fault diagnosis. Off to london west tomorrow to collect 4 plugs.

I get ya andy.

Just seems weird that its affecting accelleration in general. Ill see how it goes today,

ok spark plugs changed. Need to take the car out for a spin.

For anyone that needs to change their plugs ever, make sure you have a extension bar thats about 6-8" long as the plugs sit under the coils.
