Where is the best/economical place to get personal number plates?

DVLA site mate, all the other sites charge more as they buy off the the DVLA in the first place, that's what I found when buying mine.

I got mine from speedyreg.co.uk cheap as chips.

agreed with the above, My plate was £405 on DVLA appeared cheaper on others until you followed the order through and it turned out to be nearly £100 more as the price advertised doesnt include VAT or the transfer fee
