Hi all,

Time to trim my 265 Cup. I'm planning om mounting a Pro Alloy IC
(+ complete new 3" exhaust with race cat + chip of course)
The big question is: is the extra turbo cooler (picture) worth it or not?

Do you experiernce any temperature problems or power dips on summer track days
with this big IC covering the radiator?
I have already read the big IC thread with malaysian guys complaining about Forge
(which is just about as high as Pro Alloy)
but I'm living in Sweden and don't have temperatures much higher than you have in Britain.

Or maybe do you know someone who has such an extra turbo cooler?

Personally i would get it, just for that extra piece of mind.

I shall be going for the Forge cooler that they have designed for hot countries when the time comes, again purely for piece of mind and reliability. Would rather not have my fun cut short with the car overheating/going into limp mode.

The problem with the people in malasya was due to the high temp and a high demanding circuit, both mixed, what made the temp go a little higer than expected. Here in spain never heard of anyone having temp problems, so i doubt you'll have them in sweden... I have the forge ic, and temp never gone above middle gauge..

I'm not so sure. Definitely, it will cause issues those five days of the year when the temperature exceeds 25c, I was quite happy I didn't have one fitted on my Spa trackday in the beginning of August - 34 degrees, the thermometer said. No issues at all with the stock setup, maybe there's a little performance to be gained, but the stock cooling impressed me. Four 25 minute stints at 100%, not a hiccup, despite intake temperatures of 50 degrees Celsius.
