Indeed..

Full Kit on install:

Laptop + Port replicator.
JVC KD-DV5101 - Head Unit
Karputer 7" Motorised incar monitor with touch screen
Incartec analogue stork controller for Megane 02> with JVD adaptor.
Laptop incar power kit
10 Meter headphone jack to phono cable
10 Meter VGA Cable
1 Meter male-male phono cable.
Cigarette lighter extension with 7 meters of cable on it

Various bits and bobs to get a remote switch in place to turn the laptop on from the front of the car.

The head unit is a JVC KD-DV5101 which is a standard cd head unit that plays DVD's aswell. It outputs on a RCA connector to the Monitor.
The Monitor is a 7" Touch screen motorised unit. Its only touch screen when used with the laptop. The laptop is connected to the monitor by a VGA cable and to the head unit on the line in input on the back.

USES

- Music - Ditched the Ipod finally. Got 3000 tracks on the laptop at the moment playing through I-tunes though there are loads of front ends i could use.

- Video - Any non dvd content (WMV/Divx/Real Media/ Quicktime) The head unit on my setup is a dvd player though which runs into the 7" monitor at the front.

- Sat Nav - I'll will be buying a USB GPS receiver and putting it on the back shelf. Running Autoroute 2006 which has GPS satnav support.

- Internet when i can be bothered. If needed ill have a working copy of the forums at the fcs :)

as you said megger......the list is endless....

Need to install some games onto there.

Kit Links.

Cables and stereo head unit were all from Ebay apart from the stork controller interface which was from incartec and the monitor which was from karputer.

Ill send ya a box of band aids andy.
Cheers though aldy, I really appreciate teh help on this one.

I think ivr identified the issue i spoke to you on the phone about. apparently its a screen resolution issue. I need to get some widescreen drivers for the laptop. Its using resolutions based for 4:3 meaning that its not happy.
