could anyone give me some ideas on insurance companies for 225's finally got fed up with elephant.co.uk they are properly useless charged me 20 quid yesterday coz they had my d.o.b. wrong incompetent tossers :evil:

I put my details in to www.confused.com and got a quote of £415 with an excess of £135

Direct Line are very good m8. (also get a discount for signing up online)Don't use elephant anyhow they are absolutely crap. Was with them bout three or four years ago, sure they were cheap but when wife needed to make a claim we couldn't get hold of anyone and when we did took yonks cos they're internet based. Got so pissed off cancelled policy with still months (£300worth or so) of policy to use. They are crap stay well clear. If anyone on here works for them, then sue me, if you can actually find your department that deals with it!!!

iv got nothing but praise for elephant, they have never cherged me for making changes to my policy ( ie admin fees) always send me my docs recorded delivery and are the cheapest around for my car by over £200.
have just last week renwed my policy with them. £450

i am with Norwich union and will pay £550 FC with protected ncb and business use.
i thought i would give confused.com a go........


and got a quote of £390 for the same cover (£200 excess), it was actually from RAC. bloody hell !

I am with renault insurance they seem to be ok and they were the only ones who would insure me being 22 ,to start with they wouldnt touch me so i told the dealer no 225 for me the next day the dealer phoned me back and said he had a word with reno insurance and as if by magic £1500 fully comp so i bought it

All I can see is that I needn't be Posh....
2nd best quote we got, but better cover in terms of hire car/etc
we're paying about $450 (pounds as the k/b I have doesn't have a pound symbol) a year with about 100 excess.
