Reading the EMS and EOBD Codes

1012 Views 4 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  David Shearer
Does anyone have any information on a reliable tester for a 225 that can read the EOBD codes from the Emgine Management System and the other devices that are operated from that unit.

Is there any knowledge on the protocol that Renault uses for this system.

Has anyone been able to read all of the codes.

Hi Sav,

Perhaps give Paul (from Auto Paris Melbourne) a ring. I think he may have that software for you. A little bit closer than the UK but still a fair drive. :D

Hi matey,

Nah I haven't got the powerchip but i've heard that they were having problems when trialing it on the 225. I think that someone was mentioning that temps were getting high and the car was going into "limp" mode? The price is around $1600 AUD so if I were to go down that path, I'd want to make sure it was well worth it.
