glad you put this on jon, as iv'e been trying to resize it for ages with the stuff ive got, but nothing seems to work 
Resizing a pic for your avatar
To resize a pic to upload for your avatar:
Download the microsoft image resize tool:
http://download.microsoft.com/download/whistler/Install/2/WXP/EN-US/ImageResizerPowertoySetup.exe
When you've downloaded and installed it
Right click on the image you want to use
Click RESIZE PICTURES
Click ADVANCED
Click CUSTOM
Enter 80 by 60

The programs will save a resized version of the picture which you can upload by going to: Profile then under the avatar control panel click upload and your done!
