If you don't have child like thin bendy arms and xray vision what is the best way to get to the sidelights without taking the bumper off?

I can get my hand in there but have no idea what I'm doing and no room to move it.

I need to change a bulb so any advice would be welcome, the stealers have told me theres no charge for changing the bulb but a £30 charge for taking the bumper off and replacing it. . . that's why there stealers. . .

I thought I'd read somewhere that you could get to the lights by taking the front wheels off and removing the inner wheel arch cover !

Don't like the idea of removing the bumper, does it go back on staright and flush!!!

it can be done that way but you cut your arms to bits if you have not got small arms, sadly i have not so i find removing the bumper a better aproach, however it can be done by just removing the battery to do the left N/S and pulling out the washer bottle pipe and removeing the black plastic cover and cuttting away the ring that holds the washer bottle neck in place, this will allow you to get to that O/F lamp,

BUT i will say this, if your thinking of changing your side light bulbs then remove the bumper as they have got poxy clips on them and if you dont pull them out straight the will snap and will not go back in,

iv done about 4-6 meganes now by removing the bumper and it seems to be the best way without breaking anything, plus while the bumper is off you can change all the bulbs if you like ( best time to do it ) or even think about fitting the HID bulbs, clear indicators, xenon full beam etc etc

iv had 225s here that have bin into the dealers to have bulbs changed and wen iv taken the bumper off they have not put it back on properly and even left half the bloody clips off.

You can also get the AA to do it. My dealer changed my bulb recently and it seems like they did it just under the bonnet as there was a few scratches on the bumper.
