I took my spark plugs out last week to clean them and :dazed002: Omg I did not check to see if I had the wire brush to hand :crying: I took a drive to good old Halfords and got another wire brush tool. Today I had the chance to clean them. For some reason my spark plugs were very lose :help: when I put them back in the first time I did do them up tight ! I am baffled please :help: thanks

On parts like sparks and coils I use....



No chance of them coming lose through vibration.
Not a lot of chance of the threads staying in the head when you next take em out either, totally unnecessary and definitely not recommended.

And for the OP, you're more likely to do more harm than good with a wire brush by leaving metallic traces on the insulator, if they're dirty enough to need cleaning, then either sometthing amiss in the motor, or they've done very high milage- have them blasted if you feel you must clean them, but just replace em would be my advice.
