I do about 6k miles a year. My 07 plate is on 25k and ill be doing mine this year. Not worth the risk for the cost.

I've just thought long and hard about this. My R26 will be 5 at the end of Jan and it's got 8500 miles on it. After chatting to a lot of people, I'm getting it done on the 26th. It comes under the better safe than sorry rule, even when you've bearly run the bleeding thing in. Renault are doing its 5th service, Cambelt, tensioner, aux belts and an MOT for £950. 2 days' worth of work. I really don't think it's worth doing but i'll look a t**t if it snaps.

Well, they said 8.8 hours for the job but they'd like the car for 2 days so they don't have to rush it. Their first quote was £1600... now that was funny.

Mate - don't pay that for christ's sake!!!

There are many Ren' specialists who will do it for half that including OEM parts!

Mines due in the next few months; although I've been anal using Renault for all my other service work, I ain't payin' them to do the belts - no chance.

I've tried 2 specialists and they've both been about £850 using Renault parts. So for the sake of £100, I'll get Renault to do it.
