Hi everyone , i bought this r26 a few months ago for the sole purpose of turning it into a track car. i know these cars are very capable in standard form so i thought with a few tweeks and upgrades and alot of weight reduction it could be a very good track car. It was completley standard when i bought it i will add some photos 😁🙋‍♂️

Straight away i put it on a harsh diet

Then i wanted to distribute some weight around as best i could so the battery went in the spare wheel well along with a rear k brace and polycarbonate windows in the fronts along with a couple of bimarco buckets and some harnesses.

Next was handling and stopping so a set of BCs went on along with all new pbs prorace pads and godspeed j hook discs and fresh rbf 660 fluid and some HEL brake lines.

Then the wheels went black with some new tyres decided to go with the cheap nankang ns2rs on these wheels for the road as i would be getting hold of another set of wheels for some slicks for the track. Also decided to throw some lightweight abs plastic in and carpet the rear just for looks really.

I wasnt too focused on power to start with so didnt get stuck into the engine but obviously gave it a good service all new plugs , oils , filters gearbox oil etc and fitted some polybushes too.

Managed to get an evening in at cadwell park just to give the car a test over see how the setup was feeling, overall quite happy it felt good had a slight oil leak in the engine bay turned out just to be the seal on the dipstick so a new one sorted that out. Played around the the dampers got them setup feeling good the brakes are mega cant fault them anyway at all had a slight noise from a wheel bearing and click from a cv so decided to get some spare hubs to rebuild with new bearings and fit two new cvs aswell before the next track day. Yep the swivels were completley f****d 😅

Hello everyone. I recently purchased this R26 with the express intent of converting it into a track vehicle. I reasoned that these cars, which are already very capable in their stock configuration, could become excellent track vehicles with a few modifications, upgrades, and weight reductions.
