DVI to VGA won't give any improvements over vga - vga as basically to get all the benefits from DVI you need it to be DVI - DVI if you know what i mean.

VGA will give you just as good quality as RCA if not better.

Although running a VGA cable depending on length ie front to back of car can and will be fairly expensive, so i think just weigh things up, RCA will basically give you the same quality.

So a 5 meter RCA compared to the price of a 5 meter VGA thats the only decision you have to make really, it all comes down to wonga! £$£$£$£$

VGA way better than composite, you can easily run a good 10m without probs, much further at lower resolutions/refresh rates. You can get 10m vga cables on eby for less than a tenner. If you're just using it in car chances are the screen res is quite low, so you shouldn't have a problem.
