The sooner the lease is up on this f**kin car the better and i can safely say this will be the last Renault i'll ever have.

Took the car in on saturaday for it's 36k service and the door lock button had stopped work (another common problem i think alot of people have had) just before i was due to go and collect the car i got the dreaded phone call " I'am afraid we are going too keep the car in as it needs a new stearing arms and is unsafe to drive which won't be in till Tuesday morning,and you have some nail's in the back tyre's which needs repairing" Now it's 6 o'clock on Tuesday and the car still in the garage because the stearing arm got missed off the order :x

It's just one thing after another with the car luckly everything on the car is cover on the company lease cos if not i'd be skint. I reckon it would be cheaper to run a Evo 8 MR FQ400 than a 225 and that's saying something :wink:

Renault customer service and reliability really does let them down. Some of the management teams should read forums like this then maybe it would help to improve it. Touch wood mine has been completely problem free since I got it 18 months ago, so I havnt had to deal with the stealers.....Yet! :roll:

How can they not order parts? Mine was booked in for a service 10 days in advance and they didnt have the spark plugs! There is a lot of incompetance within Renault UK.

Guys......i wouldnt specifically blame Renault UK here. remember that like 90% of the dealers are franchised. I think its harsh to blame renault UK as such. RUK's area managers oversee the general performance of the dealers but alot of the day to day things are down to the individual franchised dealers.

Just thought id clear that up.

Dave i think the nail was my fault :lol: :lol:

Like Alex said RUK arn't really to blame i found there service to be very good. It's the dealer and the muppet they employee to work on the car's, however these guy's are trading under the Renault brand so it's about time RUK kicked some ass and sort the after sales departments out before everyone loses faith in the car :wink:

Denty225 i waited 6 week for a new set of plugs :x

Hopefully get the car back today

To be honest its not just Renault dealerships that are often crap.

My mum has owned Fords, Vauxhaulls and Renaults in the last 10 years and all the dealers were crap. :cry:

The quality of service from Renault does vary depending on which branch you use. The Croydon one (A23 near Coulsdon) is actually quite a respectable branch. The Wilsons one in Epsom is shockingly bad.

Ive been waiting for a part from renault since 21st Feb, still waiting, they delivered it once and guess what WRONG ONE. IDIOTS

Its only a piece of trim for f#cks sake

Guys

My facelift is on Order and I was looking forward to it arriving, maybe the ownership it is not going to be that exciting when it does arrive .

I'm sure you wont be dissapointed uncle, the meggy is a fantastic car when your driving it!! Its only if it goes tits up and you have to go to the stealers you may get headaches :!:

MMmmm... It is the Franchises that are the B*****S, but if you call Renault UK then they jump all over them and it's normally possible to get results...


And don't get me started on nails in tyres, I think Renault have gone for metallic wheels hubs attracting nails from miles around....

I've just had to blow £280 on two more Mitchelins because I had three nails through one, Quick Fit will only repair a maximum of one puncture in a sport rated tyre and Motosave would have taken it on but one was to close to the wall...

I also had a nail through a tyre I has only had on for three days...

Mind you I have P*****d my neighbour of recently so that could explain it.... :twisted: :twisted: :twisted:

Got a call at 3 to say the car was done :D

Service done :D

Door lock fixed :eek: :shock: :eek: :shock:

Stearing arm done :D

BUT the centre cap off the front wheel was missing and all the workshop w**kers had gone home so not sure weather they have just forgotten to put it back on or forgotten to tighten the wheel back up which is very possible, so just to be on the safe side i let the car there till the morning :wink:

see they can poxy do it, they just need a good kick up the arse to get things done,

im telling you you will not have any probs with it, its like any car company, there are just a few bad pennies out there, meaning some people just have got a bad 225 like i did and wen one thing goes wrong it keeps going wrong, and wen it goes into the dealer and your told things like and i quote,
"didnt know they made a megane turbo" :?
"they dont do them in a 5 door" :?
"is it a turbo diesel" :x
"have you fitted a body kit on it" :?
you have just got to keep on at them till its fixed properly as MATTs has bin.

things like these coments from renaults them selves tend to piss people of even more with there car and so it should.

just dont give in to them if anything does wrong and dont let them give you any BS, there is an answer for every prob on the 225 somewhere on this site :D



anyway your going to love it, and just b4 i finish my post ill just add my new 225 has not had a single prob, not a knock whistle rattle nothing :D

Don't get me wrong it a wicked car but as a company car that you use everyday it's not the best :wink:
