Last time i had this fault was 3000miles ago just before my service..... accelerate hard in any gear and would get to 4k revs and hit limp mode.... So lived with it for 2 days until service (just before taking it down i took the forge DV off) anyway service was done and they couldn't find a fault at all - so put it down to possibly the DV failing! so got service kit for DV and all was running fine.

Now tonight I had to make trip into MK so fill car up (at waitrose!! normally BP man) and set on my way. got 10mins down road and came off roundabout, hit 4k car dies in outside lane of dual carriageway.

6times it did it on the way there and on the way home!!!!!

Car drives fine if i drive through the revs normally, but when i do get injection fault, you have to stop the car, switch off and back on to clear.

Renault didn't find a fault last time as it doesn't get logged in the ECU.... so do i live with it for £50 worth of fuel and hope its dodgy fuel.... or strip DV back off....... :laughing2:

On the way home i was about ready to put the thing in a ditch and walk home........ it was raining though.

well, my car seems to back to normal, can use revs over 5000 rpms now without getting the gay injector message

i ran the fuel down to nearly empty, put some fuel cleaner in the car and filled her, then went on a long drive (drive day with the aus renault crew :D)

and ever since, the car has been back to normal, yay!

i put it down to dodgy fuel, or fuel which has slowly degraded......?

I had this problem yesterday booted it and it went into limp mode and it started kangerooing so stopped and had a look under the bonet and the vacuum hose had blown right off and broke the clip think the plastic tabs fell into the inlet manifold so hopefully it will be ok ! Renault have got the now so without a car this weekend not happy .

This can be put down to the following, so go through the list.

1) Sticky DV that leaks pressure and/or vacuum hoses.
2) Broken plastic clip/vacuum hose that goes over throttle body. Get it cable tied properly and tight.
3) Boost Pressure sensor faulty or not pushed in properly on the intake. (square black unit that sits halfway through the intake manifold). They tend to lift after a while, press it down into intake, or even put a cable tie around it to hold better
4) Dodgy software, get it updated at Renault with latest version. If yours is an E4 or F1 get them to do the Red Recall Injection software update as well.

check the infamous black clip of doom m8

The black clip that sits on top of the throttle inlet that gets in the way when you take the DV pip on and off. If thats snapped and it lifts up while your driving you will get the check injection message. tie wrap it down and it should be fine

Try this;

1/. Run car down till nearly empty on petrol.
2/. Go the a petrol station.
3/. Add some Redex, then a 10er of v-power
4/. Let the car warm up and go for a blast.
5/. Pull over somewhere and bounce the car off the limiter a few times.

This should clean your injectors. I had my engine management light flash up a few times before I done the above, so far touch it hasn't come back. Try adding redex whenever filling up the car should help it, ALOT!
