I run mine on windows 7.

I use compatablity mode, then run as admin. Works without issue.

Which version of clip you got? Later versions run on windows 7 but it has to be 32bit. Its also picky about what laptops it runs on, the older the better generally.

 

I run it on a 3 month old sony laptop W7 64 bit. (V110)

The key is you run it in (xp) virtual machine. As you say in 32bit mode.

But it will run on any laptop just has to be the correct 'enviroment'.

 

It's v112 I think B. I've got an ancient laptop here. It was from time, that's how old it is! It'll need resetting before use as It's sleeeeeeewwww. I'll need to find my XP disk or find anoher..

 

It's now installed on my old laptop. Took about 3 hours to install and about 3 restarts - Told you it was slow. I'm yet to connect it up to the car, It's getting abit late to be messing about now but is resetting the trims pritty obvious once you connect it up?

Options are grouped where you would expect them.

Its such a hand thing to have, I keep mine in the spare wheel recess permantly.

LOL! Have you tried the older stuff?, the Clio 2 interface is (tm) fisher price if i'm not mistaken. Megane 2 and onwards is much much better, although almost every different car you connect it to gives you a varyingly different interface.

DO NOT run clip until you've connected the interface to the car and let the drivers install first, or you'll end up starting from scratch to get it to work. Once the drivers are in you can run the software without the interface to your hearts content.

 

Straight forward, Geez! I was messing about for an hour and still couldn't find how to reset the trims. What tab is it under?

How do I clear the fault codes too as I was trying to do that. I diagnosed them to the front left and rear left - ABS faults but couldn't find where to go next. I much prefer the RS tuner softwere!

 

I have given up on my windows 7 computer. It can't install all drivers, and when trying to install Clip itself it says " not a clip platform"

 

You need to install the 'crack' in the first instance.

So that the software recognises the system as Renault.net platform.

 

I don't have at crack, it's a genuine can interface from work I have.

I'm guessing it's in 'reprograming' but when I click reprograming I get asked for a tool serial number. Where can I find this?
